Our tranquil country retreat is ideally situated for exploring the beauty of the valley and its majestic mountains, as well as grand wine estates, museums, heritage architecture and street culture. Most restaurants, shops, galleries and other places of interest are only a short walk away. Celebrated for both the beauty of its setting and its architectural and historical significance, Tulbagh is also famous for its wine, and the earthquake that put this little town on the map.

Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind
We had a fabulous weekend at the Cape Dutch Quarters. Our favourite time of the day spent was in the lounge at breakfast where Jaysson and Marcel shared their experiences, knowledge and stories about the furniture, history and general opinions which made our stay rather enjoyable. The room was clean, has a homely feel as well as maintaining the Victorian style atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind. Marcel... Read this review

I always feel like I am at home when I visit here
I love everything about the Cape Dutch Quarters in Tulbagh. I always feel like I am at home when I visit here. Wonderful hosts, enchanting decor and my favourite - the breakfast table and meal. All served with so much love and South African authenticity.

Perfect for the one night that I stayed
The room was nice and cool (it was hot during my stay towards the end of February) the bed was comfortable and I had a good nights rest. The courtyard with the small pool was a cute unexpected surprise and I had everything I needed and the staff were friendly and helpful!
